"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters. Why spend your wages for what does not satisfy? Let your soul delight in abundance." The prophet Isaiah |

Faith is seeking something outside yourself, To touch your spirit as it has never been touched To spark hope beyond your human ability to cope. It is not the absence of questions, but the presence of trust amid unanswered questions.

We are created for close, passionate friendship with God. If you are far off from God, then you will be in spiritual pain. If you die, then your eternal spirit is lost to God and you are stuck with a loveless eternity and the sort of pain you have now.
Yet, we can be filled, changed, renewed and given strength by what God calls His river. An extreme river for those who dare enter right in. This is the Holy Spirit - God's living water that gives everlasting life.

How? If you commit yourself to Jesus and become a new creation in Him, then your old self dies and you have friendship with God and can begin to know His extreme love for you. |

How to know God - and freedom
There are three simple steps. You begin by talking to God in prayer. This doesn't mean you have to go to a church or to kneel. Just find somewhere quiet. Speak quietly to God in your own words - He doesn't need fancy language or special terms. Deal with three areas:
- First, accept that you need Him: your life is a mess, and you have fallen far short of God's standard of total perfection (that's what "sin" is).
- Second, accept that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you personally, and arose from the dead; through this He dealt with your mess and you can now freely approach God.
- Third, ask Jesus Christ personally into your life as your master, so that all that He has achieved for you becomes yours.
Now, you can have a close, personal relation with Jesus.

to Him. Ask Him to start dealing with the areas of pain in your life. |
Do this frankly and with confidence (that's called "faith"), but not as a challenge to God - He is the boss remember. |
You should tell others what you have done. (Drop a note in our guestbook.) Team up with some wise Christians who can help you develop in your new life. Otherwise, the world may pull you down or confuse you again.
But, above all, stay close to God and passionate for more of Him. |
